What is an EML File?

EML is a file extension which denotes single e-mail message that has been stored in a file. It contains plain ASCII text for the headers, hyper-links, and attachments. EML file extension also known as the RFC-822 format. The primary purpose of the EML file is for storing data offline and allow forwarding of email and their content.
