What is PST?

PST stands for Personal Storage Table developed by Microsoft. It includes Email folders, Address book, Attachments, Calendars, and many more thing which Outlook collects. It is an open file format for which Microsoft provides free specifications. Personal Storage Table files are the best suited to store the content as they are structured to store personal storage along with emails.

Types of PST File

  • ANSI PST File: It supports old versions of Microsoft Outlook. It is capable of storing only 2 GB data.
  • Unicode PST File: It supports MS Outlook 2003 and later. Unicode PST file support multiple characters and capable of storing 20 GB data.
